As we grow in age and wisdom, we often reflect on the legacy that we will leave behind. This presentation offers a profound opportunity to deepen our understanding of the interconnectedness of nature and humanity through the lens of our faith.
We will explore how the Holy Spirit unites all of creation, emphasizing our role in God’s magnificent design. And drawing inspiration from Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Sí, we will discuss how our unique gifts can address the challenges facing our planet. Pope Francis reminds us that “the human environment and the natural environment deteriorate together; we cannot adequately combat environmental degradation unless we attend to causes related to human and social degradation” (LS, 48).
As stewards of God’s creation, we have a responsibility and privilege to heal both the earth and our communities. This Earth Day let’s come together to honor our sacred duty to care for one another and our planet.
