SUMMARY:Women of the Passion: Women of Courage\, Compassion\, and Conviction
DESCRIPTION:Attend onsite or online \n$15 suggested donation \nDuring our Lenten pilgrimage\, we are often looking in detail to the movements of Jesus on his Via Dolorosa\, his Way of the Cross. We don’t often take time to notice those that Jesus was gazing upon as he endured his Passion; the women who companioned him in his pain and anguish\, offered him anointing\, compassion\, and courage. This presentation will slow down our Lenten pilgrimage to take a lingering loving gaze at those whom Jesus gazed upon. Some women will be quickly recognizable others have been diluted by history. Having spent time with these women of the Passion\, we will find inspiration and wisdom to walk our via dolorosas with courage\, compassion\, and conviction. \nCami Beecroft-Mann is a trauma informed spiritual director and certified grief care specialist. She is the founder of Pneuma Embodied Soulcare and creator of Physio Divina Sacred Body Prayer. Cami\, along with her husband Mark\, is a Secular Franciscan. She and Mark reside in Grand Rapids\, Michigan where they take delight in watching their family grow in age\, grace\, and wisdom –  in good times and in hard times. SUMMARY:55 Plus Series - Eco-Theology and the Holy Spirit: A New Perspective
DESCRIPTION:Attend onsite or online \nSuggested donation: $15-25 \nAs we grow in age and wisdom\, we often reflect on the legacy that we will leave behind. This presentation offers a profound opportunity to deepen our understanding of the interconnectedness of nature and humanity through the lens of our faith. \nWe will explore how the Holy Spirit unites all of creation\, emphasizing our role in God’s magnificent design. And drawing inspiration from Pope Francis’ encyclical\, Laudato Sí\, we will discuss how our unique gifts can address the challenges facing our planet. Pope Francis reminds us that “the human environment and the natural environment deteriorate together; we cannot adequately combat environmental degradation unless we attend to causes related to human and social degradation” (LS\, 48). \nAs stewards of God’s creation\, we have a responsibility and privilege to heal both the earth and our communities. This Earth Day let’s come together to honor our sacred duty to care for one another and our planet. \nBarbara Yurasek Conklin is a recent graduate from Ohio Dominican University\, receiving a Master of Arts degree in Theology. She is the Marriage Preparation Coordinator for St. Peter’s parish in Douglas\, Michigan and supports various other ministries there as well. Barbara is passionate about marriage ministry\, supporting women in ministry\, and the environment. She is a loving wife and mother of three teenage children. Prior to having children Ms. Conklin worked in the Marriage and Family Life office at the Diocese of Columbus\, Ohio. \nRegister Here
