Legacy Giving
Leave a Lasting Legacy with the Catholic Information Center
For more than 75 years, the Catholic Information Center (CIC) has been a beacon of faith, education, and spiritual renewal in the heart of Grand Rapids. Our mission is to help people discover Christ, deepen their faith, and become leaders in the Church and their communities. By including the CIC in your legacy giving, you ensure that this mission continues for generations to come.

Ways to Give
There are several ways to leave a lasting impact through your planned giving:
Bequests
Include the CIC in your will or trust by designating a specific amount, percentage, or residual portion of your estate. Sample language for your attorney:
“I give, devise, and bequeath [$____ or ____% of my estate] to the Catholic Information Center, a nonprofit organization located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to be used for its general purposes (or specify a particular ministry or program).”
Beneficiary Designations
Name the CIC as a beneficiary of your:
- Retirement plan (IRA, 401(k), 403(b))
- Life insurance policy
- Donor-advised fund (DAF)
This is a simple way to give without modifying your will. Contact your plan administrator for a beneficiary designation form.
Gifts of Stock or Real Estate
Donate appreciated assets, such as stocks, bonds, or property, to maximize your giving while minimizing capital gains taxes.
Endowed Gifts
Create or contribute to an endowment to provide ongoing support for CIC’s programs, ensuring your faith and values continue to shape lives for years to come.
