Busy Person’s Retreat – Rooting in the Holy
Are you feeling worn, yet restless? Do you long to lead your everyday life from a deeper, less anxious place? Does Jesus’s invitation to “come away for awhile” seem impossible?
The Catholic Information Center in collaboration with Dominican Center Marywood have designed an experience of retreating to weave into your regular life so that you can come away for awhile and root in the Holy.
This unique retreat experience offers you collective space and personalized guidance to meet God within the fullness of your busy life. We will learn about and experience spiritual practices, bring awareness to our energy resources, time management and spiritual habits (health?), and explore what might root you in the deep peace of God’s holiness so that you can be strengthened, focused, and fruitful in your daily life.
You can expect to commit to three 2-hour gatherings where we learn and practice on Sunday afternoons, 2 1-hour individual sessions with a Spiritual Director at times that work with your schedule during the first two weeks of November, and between 10 minutes and half an hour each day to try some of the spiritual practices and prayer. In all spaces, we will practice reflective listening so that we can hear the whispers of God within our lives.
