Job Title: Development Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Part-Time (hourly)
Position Summary
The Development Coordinator supports the mission and ministry of the Catholic Information Center (CIC) by coordinating and implementing development strategies and donor-focused communications that sustain and advance the Center’s mission of forming missionary disciples.
This role focuses on execution, organization, and relationship-building rather than independent development strategy. Working closely with the Executive Director and staff, the Development Coordinator helps ensure that donors, partners, and supporters are meaningfully engaged in the CIC’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Stewardship
- Coordinate the implementation of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and special events.
- Prepare and send timely donor acknowledgements, thank-you letters, receipts, and communications.
- Assist with the execution and tracking of annual giving initiatives.
- Track gifts, pledges, and campaign outcomes to support transparent stewardship and internal planning.
Donor & Community Relations
- Serve as an administrative and relational point of contact for donors, sponsors, and community partners, coordinating communications and meetings in collaboration with the Executive Director and CIC staff.
- Support donor appreciation efforts, including recognition communications and events.
- Help strengthen relationships with program participants, alumni, parishes, local businesses, and community partners who support the CIC’s mission and ministry.
Development Communications & Visibility
- Collaborate with staff to coordinate donor-focused communications, including appeals, newsletters, and digital content.
- Working with CIC staff, gather and organize stories of transformation, leadership, and formation that illustrate the impact of the Leadership Formation Institute and adult faith formation programs.
- Maintain consistency in messaging that reflects the mission, vision, and values of CIC
- Support efforts to enhance the CIC’s visibility and engagement with current and prospective supporters.
Administrative & Donor Database Support
- Maintain accurate donor records, gift tracking, and correspondence in the donor database.
- Generate reports to support internal review, planning, and accountability.
- Provide administrative support related to development budgeting, finance coordination, and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and committees to ensure development and stewardship efforts are well-organized and mission-aligned.
Qualifications
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Information Center and the Catholic Church.
- Previous experience in fundraising, development, communications, marketing, or nonprofit administration preferred (professional or volunteer experience considered).
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to cultivate relationships marked by warmth, professionalism, and respect across diverse communities.
- Proficiency with donor database software (e.g., ParishSOFT, Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment
